Alzheimer’s Disease is the Most Common form of Dementia

Alzheimer’s Disease â€Å"What is Alzheimer’s disease (AD)?† Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia that affects an individual’s memory, cognition, and behavior disturbances that ultimately diminishes their quality of life.1-2 Dementia is not a specific disease it is a general term for a variety of symptoms that affect memory and intellectual thinking that causes difficulty in our tasks of daily living.(5) The confusion between these two terms is extraordinary. It’s helpful to think of dementia as the symptom and to think of AD as the cause of that symptom. Although, there are many causes of dementia for the purpose of this paper, Alzheimer’s will be the only one discussed. A German physician, Alois Alzheimer, first described AD in 1907 after working with a woman in her 50s, Auguste D, in 1902.4 Of course at that time no research had been conducted on this devastating disease. A Dream About Final Exams in Wislawa Szymborsks Poem...

Wislawa Szymborska poem â€Å"Brueghel’s Two Monkeys† starts out in a strange way. It begins out by what the author â€Å"dreams about final exams† (1). Oddly, what she sees in her dream is â€Å"two monkeys, chained to the floor† (2). The poem is about the human conditions in different settings of mankind. The monkeys are the things that of the poets dream about the exam. The monkeys are a symbol of the suffering of mankind—based on the chains—through the unpredictable events. As said in the last stanza, â€Å"One monkey stares and listens with a mocking disdain† (7), while â€Å"the other seems to be dreaming away† (8). The poem is full of metaphors that get the reader thinking about what it means in respect to what the author is addressing. Reality has junctions in which one is peaceful while the other is harsh. In the poem â€Å"Brueghel’s Two Monkeys† by Wislawa Szymborska, we will look at representation of h uman condition in a certain event. We will examine the human conditions through exams, history, and solution. In the poem, when it comes to exams it shows a great deal of decision making. In the first stanza of the poem it show a significantly note of assessment. Following aspects comes under this quotient, Salary: Salary or wage is the primary target for any employee or staff. Human Resource management of the respective organization can increase the salary or wage of the deserving staffs. Through this salary hike employees can be motivated. Every person is working for getting a satisfactory salary or wage. For this reason management of Buni must have to focus on this particular matter. Promotion: Promotion or growth is the integral concept or part of the employment and employability issues. Human Resource Managers of Buni need to provide promotional advantages to the staffs and employees. Gold Rush Essay Essay A gold rush happens when people hear that gold has been found. They then rush to seek their fortune. Gold is a soft, yellow precious metal that is very valuable. Some people use gold as money. The California Gold Rush is very famous. Thousands of people moved to California after James Marshall at Sutters Mill found gold on January 24, 1848. Although it took a year for the news to reach the east coast, by 1849 thousands of forty-niners were mining for gold. Most miners used a shallow pan to find flakes of Although there have been many gold rushes, the California Gold Rush brought over 200,000 new people to California in just a few years. Most miners went home broke. Freighters and merchants who brought and marketed supplies made the real money. Levi Straus struck it rich by making and selling durable pants. Its father was James Marshall, a dour, paranoid carpenter from New Jersey. Its mother was the natural happenstance of geological and hydrological forces that placed a pea-shaped d ollop of gold in a sawmill ditch here on the chilly morning of Jan. 24, 1848. James Marshall had a work crew camped on the American River at Coloma near Sacramento. The crew was building a sawmill for John Sutter. On the cold, clear morning of January Marshall found a few tiny gold nuggets. What he had really found was the ignition switch for one of the most massive migrations in human history: the California Gold Rush. As a result began one of the largest human migrations in history as a half-million people from around the world descended upon California It was quite literally a rush. More than 90,000 people made their way to California in the two years following Marshalls discovery, and more than 300,000 by 1854 or one of about every 90 people then living in the United States.
